To Whom it may concern:
Grace Happens, Inc. is a non-profit (501-3(c) organization set up to aid women in recovery of addictions (drugs/alcohol). We are not a rehabilitation center. Our primary goal is to aid our residents in returning to responsible and addiction-free lifestyle. we do this by having rules in structure and discipline. Any medical or mental assistance is outsourced at the residents expense.
As of February, 2007, we established a structured program set up in three phases. Phase One (1) consists of residents being admitted upon completion of an application for enrollment, acceptance into program, pass a drug screen (Grace Happens, Inc.), and accept the fact that Grace happens, Inc., is a CHRIST-CENTERED program, and the fundamentals of freedom from addiction, are taught through Bible verses and Christian literature. The resident is signed up for three (3)months in Phase One (1). some residents may take longer and some may not require the three months. it is up to the individual and how serious they are to live an addiction free life. The resident does not work during this period, since most of their day is committed to classes and study. Television is used only for teaching, with the exception of the local and national news at 6-7 o'clock p.m. and an occasional "clean movie", shown during "free time". Phase Two (2) is an extension of Phase 1, in that, the resident is required to continue in Bible and class study, as well as homework. In Phase 2, the resident is allowed to work part-time, as along as the work schedule does not interfere with classroom and Bible studies. Phase 2 is also a three (3) month program. Phase Three (3) is basically the same as Phase 2, however more time is devoted to the resident's return to society. Using the Bible taught facts, and having an addiction free life, by attending Church and establishing friends that do not remind them of their past. Phase Three (3) is a three (3) month program. The total time of stay can be up to nine (9) months, and as little as ninety (90) days, with a stay of six (6) months being the norm.
Being a Christian is not a requirement, nor is becoming one. we are a self-awareness program that strives to help the resident to be in good relationship with themselves and with GOD through the teachings of the Bible and study aids. bible studies, as well as Sunday worship are mandatory with weekly meetings out side of Grace Happens (Celebrate recovery, and Bible Teaching workshops.)
If we can be of any assistance, please feel free to write, fax, call or e-mail.
Respectfully,
Anita Gibson, Founder
